Some of the most memorable moments of my life come from performing well on the sports field or feeling a deep sense of belonging with family and friends. While I cherish memories like those, much of life has also taught me that I’m not always “enough,” and that people can’t always be trusted.
Through the risks of vulnerability, I’ve learned that love is more powerful than fear and shame. Feeling seen, accepted, and delighted in has brought me healing beyond what I thought was possible.
Life can be hard, dark, and scary—but I believe that safe relationships can heal the broken parts of our hearts. Maybe you’re tired of how your past continues to impact your relationships. Maybe you’ve tried everything to overcome anxiety or depression, but nothing seems to work. Maybe your marriage isn’t what you hoped it would be, and the harder you try, the more distant things feel.
For me, it’s been a gift to receive the love and care I needed for my own healing. Now, as a counselor, I’m grateful for the opportunity to offer that same kind of care to others.
